The Top 5 Reasons You Need Triple Activated Vitamin B12
- It’s the Best B12 Available! Methylcobalamin, or methylated B-12 is the most pure, active, bioavailable coenzyme form of B-12 and when paired with adenosylcobalamin, the other coenzyme form of B-12, forms the most potent B-12 combination available. From there, we added hydroxocobalamin which takes our B12 product to a whole new level of potency!
- Encourages Normal Energy Levels Vitamin B12 promotes energy production in multiple ways. It supports the adrenal glands, red blood cell formation, and helps convert carbohydrates to glucose -- the fuel your body uses for energy.

- Supports Your Body’s Major Processes As defense against homocysteine, B12 is nutritional support for your cardiovascular and nervous systems.
- Natural Sleep Support Some research has linked methylcobalamin to positive effects on sleep due to its influence on melatonin secretion and light sensitivity; it also helps normalize a person's 24-hour clock.

The Top 3 Questions People Ask About Triple Activated Vitamin B12
- What is vitamin B12? Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is the B vitamin that supports the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, energy production, and for the formation of red blood cells. It’s important to know that vitamin B12 is a name that refers to a group of vitamins known as cobalamins; this includes methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, and cyanocobalmin.
- What is cyanocobalamin Cyanocobalamin is a cheap, lesser quality form of vitamin B-12 often used by bargain vitamin companies who add them for marketing purposes. Cyanocobalamin contains a cyanide molecule that must be metabolized by the liver. The process of removing the cyanide molecule uses methyl groups normally used to lower homocysteine levels (higher homocysteine cause stress on the heart). Cyanocobalamin robs your body of beneficial methyl groups and is a perfect example of an instance when low-quality vitamins are worse than no vitamins.
- Why is Triple Activated Vitamin B12 superior to cyanocobalamin? Triple Activated VitaminB12 contains adenosylcobalamin, methylcobalamin, and hydroxocobalamin, a 3-in-1 combination that’s better absorbed and used more efficiently in your liver, brain, and nervous system. Triple Activated Vitamin B12 does not have to be converted in your liver. Methylcobalamin supports vision whereas cyanocobalamin is thought to be ineffective. Cyanocobalmin is also not recommended for people who smoke, have kidney problems, or don’t metabolize cyanide properly.

How it works
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin needed for red blood cell formation, nerve function and DNA synthesis. It also acts as a cofactor for enzymes that convert homocysteine to methionine and that support energy metabolism from fats and proteins.
Dietary B12 is naturally found only in animal foods such as meat, fish, eggs and dairy. In the stomach it is released from food proteins and binds to intrinsic factor, which allows absorption in the small intestine. This pathway can become less efficient with age, and absorption is lower in people who take certain medicines for reflux. A small amount can also be absorbed passively without intrinsic factor, which is how higher oral doses work. Common supplement forms are cyanocobalamin, methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (see NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, Vitamin B12 fact sheet). The liver stores B12 for years.
What people use it for
- Helps maintain energy levels when dietary intake is inadequate
- Helps relieve tiredness and fatigue when due to a vitamin B12 deficiency
- Helps support normal red blood cell formation
- Helps maintain healthy nervous system function
- Helps support healthy homocysteine metabolism
Common questions
Which form of vitamin B12 is best?
Both cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin are used effectively by the body. Cyanocobalamin is stable and widely studied, while methylcobalamin is a naturally occurring form some people prefer. The best choice depends on your preference and your healthcare professional's advice.
Who might need extra vitamin B12?
People who eat little or no animal food, such as vegans, and older adults often have lower intakes or absorption. If you are unsure, a blood test through your doctor can check your levels.
Safety
Vitamin B12 is generally well tolerated. Tell your healthcare professional if you take metformin or reflux medicines, as these can reduce B12 absorption. Always read the label and use only as directed.
