What Is Bone Restore with Vitamin K2?
We all know calcium helps maintain bone density and strength. But what you might not realize is that dietary calcium requires adequate amounts of other vital nutrients to be most effective. That’s why we’ve paired easily absorbable calcium with vitamins K2 and D3 and other essential bone-healthy minerals in our Best in Class bone-health formula.
Bone-healthy calcium needs vitamins K & D to be effective, as well as magnesium, boron, zinc and silicon.
Bone Restore with Vitamin K2 Benefits
- Delivers 3 types of easily absorbed calcium.
- Augmented with vitamins D3 & K2.
- Contains patented Fruitex B® OsteoBoron® for bone strength.
- Includes zinc, manganese & silicon to support healthy bone formation.
Some forms of calcium supplements are better absorbed than others. Bone Restore with Vitamin K2 provides a total of 700 mg of three types of easily absorbed calcium: dicalcium malate, calcium fructoborate and calcium bisglycinate chelate, all delivered in a capsule that ensures better utilization by the body.
Vitamins K2 and D3
Vitamin D is essential for absorbing calcium from the digestive tract into the bloodstream. And vitamin K2 helps maintain bone density by promoting calcium transport from the bloodstream into bone. Thus, vitamins D3 and K2 are essential for helping maintain strong, healthy bones and teeth.
Magnesium, zinc and other bone-healthy minerals
Magnesium is needed to maintain strong bones. Bone Restore with Vitamin K2 contains 300 mg of magnesium from magnesium oxide.
Zinc, manganese and silicon are essential for healthy bone maintenance. You have to have sufficient intake of these elements to support healthy bone formation.
Boron is a trace mineral with beneficial effects for bone and joint strength. This formula contains patented Fruitex B® OsteoBoron®, made from a calcium/carbohydrate/boron complex similar to what’s found in fruits and vegetables.
Suggested use
Read the entire label and follow the directions carefully prior to use.
Take four (4) capsules daily, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Scientific studies suggest calcium supplementation in divided doses with food in the morning and evening may yield the best results. Maintaining an optimal vitamin D blood level also helps maximize calcium absorption.

How it works
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin with two main natural forms: K1 (phylloquinone) from leafy greens, and K2 (menaquinones, often called MK-4 and MK-7) from fermented foods and animal foods, and made by some gut bacteria.
Vitamin K works as a helper to an enzyme called gamma-glutamyl carboxylase. This enzyme adds a carboxyl group to certain proteins so they can bind calcium. In the liver, this activates clotting factors, which is why vitamin K is needed for normal blood clotting. In other tissues, it activates osteocalcin, a protein that binds calcium in bone, and matrix Gla protein, found in blood vessel walls. Absorption needs dietary fat. MK-7 stays in the blood longer than K1 or MK-4, so smaller daily amounts may keep levels steady (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements).
What people use it for
- Helps maintain normal blood clotting
- Helps maintain healthy bones as part of a balanced diet
- May help support the body's use of calcium
- Helps relieve vitamin K deficiency when dietary intake is inadequate
- May help support bone health when combined with vitamin D and calcium
Common questions
What is the difference between vitamin K1 and K2?
K1 comes mostly from leafy greens and is used mainly by the liver for clotting. K2 comes from fermented foods and animal foods, lasts longer in the blood and is more involved with bone and tissue use of calcium.
Should I take vitamin K with vitamin D?
They are often combined because both are involved in how the body handles calcium. Take them with a meal that contains some fat to help absorption.
Safety
Vitamin K affects blood clotting and can interfere with warfarin, so do not use it if you take warfarin or other blood thinners unless directed by your doctor. Speak to your health professional if you have a clotting disorder, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
