An Innovation That Started In The Gym
While owning a 500-member Athletic Club in the 1970s, Jeff Pedersen, former USC Baseball Captain and 3x National Champion, wondered how he might help his members achieve a better, more consistent, and motivational workout. Using his years of experience in training and fitness, Jeff began developing the now well-known Sweet Sweat gel. After four years of successful physical and observational testing on his club members, Sweet Sweat hit the market. Today, Sweet Sweat has expanded to include a wide range of highly functional workout tools, including the best-selling Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer.
Sport Of Life: Athlete Tried, Tested & Approved
After decades of intensive testing, observation, and measuring, it's probably not surprising that Sweet Sweat Gel has the attention of the sports community and then some. Today, it?s used by amateur and professional athletes all around the globe.

How it works
Apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting apple juice twice. Yeast first turn the sugars into alcohol, then acetic acid bacteria convert the alcohol into acetic acid. Unfiltered versions contain the cloudy strands known as the mother, made of bacteria and cellulose.
Acetic acid makes up roughly 4 to 6 percent of vinegar and gives it the sharp taste and acidity. After you swallow it, acetic acid is absorbed quickly and used by the body for energy. Small human studies suggest vinegar taken with a meal may slow stomach emptying and change how quickly carbohydrates are digested, which affects the feeling of fullness after eating. Vinegar also contains small amounts of polyphenols and traces of potassium. The mother is not proven to add benefits. Because it is acidic, undiluted vinegar can irritate the throat and wear tooth enamel (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Nutrition Source).
What people use it for
- Traditionally used as a digestive tonic
- May help support healthy digestion when taken with meals
- May help support a feeling of fullness as part of a healthy diet
- Provides acetic acid and polyphenols from apples
- May help support general wellbeing
Common questions
Should I dilute apple cider vinegar?
Yes. Always mix it into a glass of water or add it to food. Undiluted vinegar is acidic and can irritate your throat and damage tooth enamel.
When is the best time to take apple cider vinegar?
Many people have it before or with a meal. Rinse your mouth with water afterwards, and wait before brushing your teeth, as the enamel is softened for a short time.
Safety
Always dilute and never drink it straight. Speak to your health professional if you have reflux, stomach ulcers, low potassium, or take diuretics, insulin or other medicines that affect blood sugar or potassium. Rinse your mouth after use to protect tooth enamel.
