Algae oil also known as algal, is a vegan, plant based alternative to get Omega 3's. Cold pressed from microalgea, botanical name Alga Schizochytrium. With 40% minimum DHA. Each capsule is approximately 900mg, and are filled by hand the day it ships to ensure you get the freshest product possible.

How it works
Fish oil supplies the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Your body can only make small amounts of these from plant omega-3 (ALA), so oily fish and fish oil are the main direct sources. EPA and DHA are built into the membranes of cells, where they affect how flexible the membrane is and how signals pass through it. DHA is especially concentrated in the brain and the retina of the eye. EPA is used to make signalling molecules called eicosanoids and resolvins, which help the body manage its normal inflammatory response. Fats are absorbed best with a meal that contains some fat, as bile and digestive enzymes help break them down. Triglyceride and re-esterified forms are generally absorbed a little better than ethyl esters (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements). Quality matters, so look for fresh, well-purified oil with no strong fishy smell.
