Move freely after a hard session.
Stiff or sore after a hard session? Did you know MSM is a natural sulfur compound found in small amounts in fruit, vegetables and grains? It may help support joint comfort and muscle recovery.
MSM Made with Optimsm gives you 1000mg per serving. Each pack has 240 Caps.
MSM, short for methylsulfonylmethane, is a natural sulfur-containing compound found in small amounts in fruit, vegetables, grains, meat and milk. Sulfur is an essential part of the body's connective tissue, skin, hair and nails. Cooking and processing reduce the MSM in food, so many people choose a supplement. MSM is most often chosen to support joint comfort, flexibility and recovery after exercise, and for healthy skin.

The science behind it
MSM is a small, water-soluble molecule that is about 34 per cent sulfur by weight. It is closely related to dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and it is also produced in small amounts by the body's own metabolism and by gut bacteria. After swallowing, MSM is absorbed quickly, spreads through body water and appears in tissues including joint fluid, skin and muscle. It is cleared mainly in urine.
Sulfur is needed to make the amino acids methionine and cysteine, and for glutathione, one of the body's key antioxidants. It is also part of the glycosaminoglycans in cartilage and of keratin in hair and nails. Researchers suggest MSM may act as a sulfur donor, and that it may influence normal inflammatory signalling, for example NF-kB pathways, and markers of oxidative stress after exercise.
Human trials are generally small. Studies on knees reported modest improvements in comfort and function after twelve weeks (Kim et al., 2006), and trials in exercise recovery reported lower soreness scores. There is no established deficiency of MSM, and there is no official recommended intake. Because MSM often features in joint formulas alongside glucosamine, chondroitin or turmeric, it is hard to separate its individual effect.

MSM provides sulfur, which is used to build connective tissue. Some small studies suggest it may help support joint comfort and flexibility.
How long does MSM take to work?

When is the best time to take MSM?
