This proven strong formula for chronic sluggish bowel movements (Kapha type constipation, which is usually sticky, delayed later in the day, and sometimes missing days.)

Bibhitaki, Haritaki, and Amlaki are the three herbs that make up the famous formula Triphala, which is known to clean the colon. Senna and cascara Sagrada make the formula strong and very effective, so not much of it is needed in most cases. Guggulu is a powerful resin used to reduce body fat and cholesterol and break down tissue, thus giving the formula the strength to clean the colon deeply. Trikatu, 3 pungent herbs, ginger, black pepper, and sweet long pepper. Vidanga is added not just for its laxative effect but also for its anti-parasitic actions.

The formula is strong, but it will not result in cramping or abdominal discomfort for most people.

or someone with sluggish bowel movements who can go a day or more without a bowel movement. The formula is for a kapha type, or basically a heavy, overweight person. It can be used long-term.

Start with 1 tsp at bedtime. Take more as needed at night or even take another dosage after breakfast if still constipated. Formula can be added to some ginger tea for better results. (One bowel movement is still constipation and can result in diverticula and diverticulitis. Going days without a BM for use is leading to diverticula and diverticulitis, and possible hemorrhoids and even colon cancer)

In many cases, taking the CONSTIPATION TEA during the day may be necessary, too.

Diet, lifestyle, and even sleep must be managed to promote healthy digestion and elimination. The formula does not taste good, so taking in capsules is an option.

WARNING: Anyone can put organic loose tea in a bag and make claims about it. However, knowledge of herbal pharmacology and traditional formulas is required to make a good formula. A great formula requires years of feedback from patients to refine and improve. Unfortunately, most products sold online are based on the "it should work" approach from online research, not experience.
