If you're struggling with heartburn, GERD, or chronic stomach discomfort, this tea is your soothing solution. Formulated with anti-inflammatory herbs, it provides relief for hypersensitive states where eating many foods or even drinking can be a challenge. It’s the perfect companion to help calm stomach acids, reduce heartburn, and protect the digestive system from irritation.
This powerful blend starts with Alpha, which works to alkalize, nurture, and reduce stomach acid, while gently modulating the immune system. Cat's Claw, the base herb, is supported by Alfalfa for additional nourishment, while Mediowseet enhances the anti-inflammatory action. Lemon Balm calms the nervous system, and Chamomile relaxes the body, preventing cramps and spasms. Marshmallow Root coats and protects the stomach lining and gastrointestinal tract, offering soothing relief. To further support digestion, Fennel Seeds and Coriander Seeds work together to gently cool and calm the digestive process.
Suffering from heartburn or GERD can make eating and drinking feel like a nightmare. While Herbman recommends dietary adjustments for those with chronic heartburn, this tea provides immediate relief, coating your stomach and esophagus to shield against acid and reduce inflammation.
Sip on this calming tea a couple of times a day or before bed to prevent acidity and discomfort.
If your symptoms persist, I recommend scheduling a consultation with me.
I have more specialized products and treatments that are even more effective, but I need to assess the underlying causes and adjust your diet.

How it works
A herbal tea, also called a tisane, is made by steeping dried leaves, flowers, roots or seeds in hot water. Heat and water draw out the plant's water-soluble compounds, such as flavonoids, tannins, mucilage and small amounts of aromatic oils, which you then drink. Because these compounds are extracted at a gentle level, a cup of tea delivers far less than a concentrated extract would.
Absorption happens mainly in the small intestine, where many plant compounds are partly broken down by gut bacteria before they enter the bloodstream. Warm fluid itself also relaxes the mind and the digestive tract for many people, which is part of the appeal. Steeping time matters: covering the cup while it infuses helps hold in volatile aromatic oils, and longer steeping gives a stronger, more bitter brew.
Most herbal teas are naturally caffeine free, unlike true tea from Camellia sinensis. Their use is based on traditional practice (traditionally used in Western herbal medicine) rather than on one single mechanism.
What people use it for
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support digestive comfort after meals.
- May help support relaxation as part of a calming evening routine.
- A warm, caffeine-free drink that helps you meet your daily fluid intake.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support restful sleep when taken in the evening.
- A flavoursome alternative to coffee and black tea.
Common questions
How long should I steep herbal tea?
Most herbal teas need about 5 to 10 minutes in freshly boiled water. Flowers and leaves can be on the shorter side, while roots, bark and seeds often like a little longer. Cover the cup so the aromatic oils stay in the brew.
Can I drink herbal tea every day?
For most healthy adults, a few cups of a mild herbal tea a day is fine. It depends on the herb, though, as some are best used for short periods. Rotating your teas is a sensible habit, and it is worth checking the label for any cautions.
Safety
Herbal teas can interact with some medicines and are not suitable for everyone, so check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication. Stop use if you notice an allergic reaction, particularly if you are allergic to plants in the daisy family.
